The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident in the Hornbrook Area. Early Tuesday morning, a man suffering from a gunshot wound sought medical attention at Fairchild Medical Center. Officers visited the areas where the victim had been, but didn’t find any evidence about the gunshot. One of the sites was an illegal marijuana cultivation operation. It’s not known if there was any connection to the shooting. The man, who is recovering, is on parole, so the sheriff’s office is working with the Department of Corrections on the case.
