A driver who was killed while apparently trying to get through a railroad crossing before a train has been identified. 35-year-old Jennifer Hinson of Van Nuys was reportedly speeding on Highway 97 Tuesday morning before crashing through the crossing gate near Dorris and hitting the moving train’s engine. The vehicle caught on fire.Dorris Firefighters and CHP Officers responded. Hinson and a dog inside were pronounced dead at the scene.
