Delta Fire Update

A strong wind pushed the Delta Fire outside its containment lines over the weekend, allowing it to make a run and force evacuations in Trinity County. All evacuations have since been lifted. Rainfall was definitely a positive factor in knocking down the flare-ups. Overall containment of the Delta Fire remains at 97%. The total size is 63,293 acres, with 20 structures destroyed. The slopover reached Slate Mountain road on the Shasta/Trinity county line. The spot fire continues to hold west of Damnation Pass and north of Dog Creek road. mop-up, suppression repair, and overhaul continues, with full containment expected this Friday.
