APD Arrest

A man on post release supervision was arrested by Anderson Police who responded to a report of a man acting erratically with a gun tucked in his waistband. Friday evening officers arrived in the area of highway 273 and Bruce Street, where they found 32-year-old Jeffrey David Wilson throwing the handgun into the air and catching it repeatedly. He was ordered to drop the gun, which he did after being told several times. He then apparently became argumentative and started approaching the officers, ignoring their orders for him to get on the ground. Chance the K-9 was then sent after Wilson and he became immediately cooperative. The weapon turned out to be an airsoft gun. Wilson was booked into jail for violating his probation, drug possession and delaying a peace officer.
