A man suffered life threatening injuries when he was struck at highway speeds by an SUV in South Redding Tuesday night. Just after 9PM, Cassandra Zucco was driving a Nissan SUV south on Highway 273 and passed through the South Bonnyview Road intersection on a green light before striking the pedestrian. Witnesses at the scene told officers that the man was then struck by another vehicle, which did not stop. The pedestrian suffered major head trauma and is now in Mercy Medical Center in critical condition.
