RPD: Parolee Found Passed Out In Vehicle Arrested

It wasn’t too much of a challenge to capture a 26-year-old Redding parolee, who allegedly had a variety of drugs and guns. At around 9 O’clock Monday night Colin Adams was slumped over the wheel of a car stopped at the intersection of Churn Creek Road and Dana Drive. He was unresponsive to people around him trying to get his attention. Officers say Adams had a loaded handgun in his lap and a shotgun on the passenger seat, and they were removed before Adams was awakened and taken into custody. He’s on post release supervision and a prior felony forbids him from having guns. Another loaded handgun was reportedly found in the car, along with about 13 grams of heroin, 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, 450 Clonazepam pills, 43 Xanax pills and $600. He was booked into jail for being a felon with guns and possession of drugs for sale.
