RPD: Driver Under The Influence Of Meth Arrested After Crash

A man was arrested after a collision early Friday morning at the Lake Boulevard/North Market Street intersection. Redding Police say that at around 2:20AM, 45-year-old Steven Couts ran a red light at the intersection and was struck by a car that had a green light. Officers suspected Couts may have been on something, so they called in DUI Specialist Jacob Provencio, who determined that Couts was under the influence of Methamphetamine. He was arrested and then released to be treated for his injuries.
