Strong Winds Fan Late Season Fires Across Northern California

It’s Halloween, but it’s still fire season. A 550 acre fire in Butte County was 70 percent contained as of Wednesday Monring. The Janes Fire in South Palermo spread quickly due to a strong north wind. Forward progress was stopped within three hours. Structures were initially threatened but that has been mitigated. There are no evacuation or road closures. Meantime a fire in Solano County that burned 4500 acres in 98 percent contained.
