Three homes were damaged by a fire on a normally quiet street in East Redding Thursday. Firefighters responded around Noon to Blueview Street, which runs parallel to Churn Creek Road between Maraglia and Parsons. Redding Fire Battalion Chief Eric McMurtry says the fire caused significant damage to one house, moderate damage to another and smoke and water damage to a third. One firefighter suffered minor injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
