A Shasta County Superior Court Judge is being honored by a prestigious organization. Judge Stephen H. Baker is being inducted into the National Center for State Courts’ Warren E. Burger Society. The society is named for the former Chief Justice of the United States. With 17 years of litigation experience, Judge Baker was appointed to the Shasta County Superior Court in 2003 and has been re-elected several times without opposition. He has presided over hundreds of jury trials, including complex civil cases and numerous murder trials. He has degrees from the McGeorge School of Law, University of Oregon and Salzberg Univerisity.
