A Red Bluff area pilot’s group is opposing a proposed permanent homeless shelter adjacent to the Red Bluff Airport. The Tehama County Aviation Association is asking for help in defeating the proposed expansion of services for the homeless on a county-owned piece of property at 1445 Vista Way. The organization says there have been reports of vandalism and theft in the area and are concerned about more problems if the plan goes forward. They also cite the possible negative influences on current businesses and those that may want to move to the Red Bluff Industrial Park, adjacent to the airport. They’re asking concerned citizens to contact their supervisor, attend the December 11th board of supervisor’s meeting or sign a petition at the airport.
