A wanted man was captured after fleeing from a traffic stop for the second time in 3 days, according to Redding Police. At 1:35PM Friday afternoon a Chevy Impala was pulled over by the RPD on Benton Drive near Barbara Road. The passenger ran away but the driver, 24-year-old Sara Ault, stayed there and was detained. With help from a CHP aircraft, 28-year-old Kenneth Edwards was caught running near North Market Street. Police say he’s the same man who was pulled over off Eureka Way on Wednesday in a stolen pickup truck. In that case, the driver fled while the truck was still moving, allowing it to crash into a doctor’s office. A loaded high-powered assault rifle was found on the seat. Edwards is on Post Release Supervision and faces charges from both incidents. Ault was arrested on three warrants, and other charges for helping Edwards.
