The City of Redding has a new Airport Manager, and its a familiar face. Retired Manager Rod Dinger who lead the for 17 years has been named to the position on an interim basis following the departure of Bryant Garrett who announced his departure for a similar job in Utah. Garrett has managed the Redding Municipal Airport and the Benton Airpark for the last four years. He leaves as Redding is getting ready to have direct service to Los Angeles for the first time since 2011 beginning in March. Dinger’s appointment begins on Monday and will last until June 30 giving the city council time to find a permanent replacement.
