Rain Didn’t Stop Demonstrators

Rain did not deter a day of activism in Redding on Saturday. The third annual Women’s March drew an estimated 500 people to City Hall to march up and down Cypress Avenue in the rain. Audrey Denney was there to remind voters of her intention to run against congressman Doug Lamalfa again. The colorful group attracted a mostly positive response from passersby. Meanwhile at least a hundred people gathered in front of the Holiday Inn on Hilltop Drive for a rally in support of Donald Trump’s fight to build a wall on the southern border. A third event involved a small group of anti-abortion demonstrators, who held a “March for Life” from City Hall to the Sundial Bridge.
