Redding and Shasta County residents can get rid of their storm downed trees for free. Brush, limbs, branches and trees up to 30 inch diameter can be hauled to the Redding Transfer Station on Abernathy Lane or the landfill on Clear Creek Road through March 2nd. Tree stumps will be accepted at the landfill, but will have to be offloaded at a separate area. No grass clippings or trash accepted. Wheelabrator in Anderson is also taking wood debris at no charge.
