Deputies: Woman Arrested After Fighting With K9

A woman put up a fight after being caught throwing rocks at passing cars on Shasta Dam Boulevard, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were called at around Midnight Saturday night to the railroad crossing over Shasta Dam Boulevard, where the first arriving deputy found about 150 baseball size rocks in the road. On the tracks above the roadway he found 46-year-old Janet Paulene Wilson, who was uncooperative. Another deputy with a K9 got there and they tried to get Wilson off the tracks but she pulled away and fell down, then reportedly kicked at the deputies and tried to hit them. Hondo the K9 was set upon her and she fought with him too, punching him and trying to bite him. Eventually Wilson was handcuffed, taken to a hospital, then booked into jail for resisting arrest, public intoxication, and interfering with a police dog.
