Nine Tehama County residents were arrested Tuesday for failing to make their kids go to school. The Tehama County D.A.’s office did the arrest sweep in cooperation with the county department of education. All other resources to encourage school attendance had apparently been exhausted. The nine parents from Red Bluff, Corning, Los Molinos and Dairyville range in age from 26 to 62.
