The amount of water being released from Shasta Dam now exceeds the water flowing into the lake. At 9AM Friday, about 40,000 cubic feet per second was coming out of the lake, several thousand CFS below what was coming in. Meanwhile, releases from Keswick Dam continue at 40,000 CFS. The lake level at Shasta is less than 18 feet from being full.
