Vacant House in Corning Destroyed

A vacant house that burned to the ground in Corning Tuesday afternoon was well known to both the police and fire departments, according to the Corning Observer. Apparently ever since the property on Fig Lane has been without a tenant, it’s been a frequent squatting place for homeless people. It’s owned by a Bay Area company. In November a large shed on the property went up in flames. Tuesday’s fire left the house a complete loss.
