RPD: Arrests Made At Drug House Off Riverview Drive

After numerous complaints from neighbors, a house in the 3700 block of Riverview Drive was investigated by the Redding Police Department’s Neighborhood Police Unit. Thursday afternoon, Officer O’hem observed a vehicle arrive at the house, stay for a short time, then leave. He stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, 30-year-old Kimberly Rose Wilcox. She has been arrested eight times in Shasta County and is currently on the supervised own recognizance program due to a pending case where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance for sales and destruction of evidence. It was discovered that she lived in the house with her boyfriend, 22-year-old Gregory Gabriel Johnson. Six other people were living in the house, one of which was Johnson. Inside Wilcox’s bedroom, officers reportedly found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Wilcox was taken into custody for possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of “SOR”. Johnson was also arrested for possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, two of the other tenants, 55-year-old Charles Michael Nelson and 22-year-old Sandra Marie Moyer had warrants for their arrest. Both were issued citations and released. As officers were investigating this incident, they found that the house had multiple code violations which included not having electricity or running water. Code enforcement responded and found the house to be uninhabitable. The house was tagged and all of the people living inside were told they couldn’t live there until the violations were fixed. Code enforcement will be working with the home owner to address the violations. NPU also towed one car from in front of the residence due to it blocking the roadway.
