RPD: Man Arrested After Threatening Family Members With A Gun

An East Redding man is accused of threatening the lives of his girlfriend and her two daughters. Redding Police were called at 9:30PM Saturday night to a home on Nebula Street. The woman who called said 49-year-old Arlend Bonsey was still arguing with the three of them after he had been drinking alcohol and had battered her. She also said he was armed with a gun and had threatened to shoot them. When officers arrived, they contacted Bonsey by telephone and tried to negotiate. He eventually came outside and was detained. The gun was found inside. Bonsey was booked into jail for terrorist threats and domestic battery.
