A benefit fund built by the Asphalt Cowboys for Carr Fire survivors has been spent as promised. Following the devastating fire last Summer, the yellow shirts mobilized to help out by organizing a big community barbecue. With volunteer labor, donated food and supplies and a big media push, the one day event last August 8th raised nearly $59,000 after the cowboys kicked in $10,000 from their own funds. Carr Fire survivors applied for assistance on the Asphalt Cowboys website and now every bit of the money has been issued to 77 different families affected by the fire.
