Man Arrested After Threatening Family Members With A Gun

A Siskiyou County man is in jail after his family accused him of threatening their lives during a dispute. Deputies were called Wednesday night to a home in the Mount Shasta Vista Subdivision 22 miles south of Yreka by the wife of 53-year-old Lee Xeng Yang. She said she had fled out of fear from the home along with her five children and her mother. The couple had been arguing when yang reportedly flew into a rage and went outside, firing his handgun. When the wife and her mother went outside yang allegedly fired the gun in their direction. After escaping with the children, the victim called 911. Yang was not there when deputies went looking for him, so the 7 displaced family members were given safe shelter elsewhere for the night. Deputies located Yang Thursday morning and he was booked into jail on several felony charges for the violent outburst. The gun was recovered as well. Yang will also face charges for 300 marijuana plants that were found growing on the property.
