Anyone driving to or from Chico next week may have to change their normal route. The stretch of Highway between Corning and Highway 99 will be inaccessible. The railroad crossing at South Avenue and Rowles Road, just west of Highway 99 in Tehama County will be closed from Tuesday through Friday (4/2-4/5). The alternate routes are State Route 32 between Orland to Chico and Highway 99 between Red Bluff and Chico. Approximately 6,000 cars and 700 trucks travel along South Avenue daily, so expect increased traffic on the alternate routes.
