A child molester from Anderson has been given the maximum possible sentence. 41-year-old Melvin Love was found guilty by a Shasta County jury last month of five counts of child molestation involving children under the age of 14 and he had a prior conviction for lewd and lascivious acts on a child and was a registered sex offender. Last Spring, Shasta County Sheriff’s Detectives and District Attorney Investigators spent several weeks looking for him before he was captured in the Bella Vista area April 4th. On Friday Melvin Love was sentenced to 103 years to life in state prison.
