The Forest Service will be doing some prescribed burning near Weaverville next week. The Blue Rock Road Fuels Reduction Project will eliminate some understory vegetation and excess fuel loadings. Smoke will be seen rising from north of Weaverville for a few days starting Monday, as weather allows. Up to 78 acres will be burned.
