A homicide is still under investigation by the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office. The body of 31-year-old Spencer Richard Hodgson was found April 8th in a ravine near the community of Klamath River off Highway 96 about 28 miles northeast of Yreka. He had been killed by gunshot wounds. The recent Klamath River resident had previous ties to Santa Cruz. Detectives had been seeking Hodgson’s missing pickup truck. It was found by an aerial search, and Hodgson’s missing dog was also found alive and well. The discovery of the truck has generated additional leads, and detectives say the investigation is gaining momentum.
