Man Injured After Jumping Out Of Police Car

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – Authorities say a man has been taken to the hospital after he jumped out of a patrol car onto a Sacramento area freeway. KCRA-TV says West Sacramento police were taking the man – described as “pretty thin” – to the Yolo County Jail on Tuesday when he squeezed out of his seatbelt, climbed out of the window and jumped onto Interstate 5. The 29-year-old man was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries but there’s no word on his condition. He was one of three prisoners in the back of the patrol car. Police say the man was arrested on a probation violation and allegedly had exposed himself to people while riding on a bicycle trail.
