Mountain Lion Reportedly Spotted In Red Bluff

Residents of Red Bluff have reported a mountain lion in their area. On Friday Red Bluff Police responded to reports by two residents at the north end of Dumosa Drive who said a lion was in their neighborhood Thursday night. One resident said they saw the lion at around 10PM, and said they also saw a lion about three weeks ago. The other resident captured a recording of what they believed to be noises made by a lion. A California Department of Fish and Wildlife Wrden sent the recording to a biologist, who said it was actually foxes. The area is in close proximity to Red Bluff High School, Bidwell School and Bidwell Preschool. Any sightings should be reported to the RBPD at 527-3131.
