Oak Run Man Will Stand Trial For February Murder

A 53-year-old Oak Run man has been ordered to stand trial for the murder of another Oak Run man. Joseph Edward Roza had a preliminary hearing Tuesday concerning the February 8th shooting death of Gregory Donald Galusha. The 44-year-old man was found lying face down near his home on Stagecoach Road in Oak Run. He had a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Roza was arrested by Shasta County Sheriff’s Detectives three days later. They say the two were in an altercation, during which Roza fired a semi-auto handgun at Galusha, killing him. Roza has been ordered to answer to one count of murder with a special allegation of using a firearm. He’ll be arraigned July 8th.
