Only one person was arrested at the Redding Police Department’s DUI and driver’s license checkpoint Friday night. The checkpoint was held on Benton Drive, south of Quartz Hill Road between 7:00PM and 11:00PM. A total of 526 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and were screened by officers. In addition to the DUI arrest, three drivers were cited for driving on a suspended license and four drivers were cited for driving without a license.
