Forward progress has been stopped on the Cottage Incident, a series of fires burning off of Dersch Road between Millville and Shingletown.It started as three fires a little before 2PM Thursday afternoon between Bear Creek and Ash Creek Road. Two of the fires burned together, and as of Friday morning, the fires have burned a total of 156 acres with 70% overall containment. One firefighter suffered a heat related injury. All the evacuations and road closures have been lifted. The cause is under investigation.
