Update: Suspects From 2013 Murder Remain In Custody

Bail has been revoked for two murder suspects. Matthew Hartman and Carleen Honaker both appeared in court Thursday concerning the 2013 murder of 53-year-old Charles Roy Sweetwood, who was found dead in his apartment on C Street. He had been shot to death a number of days prior to the discovery. The case had gone cold until Redding Police Investigator Rusty Bishop uncovered new evidence last year, and last week arrest warrants were issued for burglary, robbery and murder. Hartman still lived in the area and was taken into custody Tuesday. Honaker had moved away but she was found and taken into custody Wednesday. Hartman was arraigned Thursday and will return to court for further proceedings next Thursday. Honaker delayed her arraignment, which is now set for Monday. Both remain in custody.
