Man With 5 Warrants Arrested In Jones Valley

A Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputy took a wanted man by surprise Saturday night in the Jones Valley area. At around 11 O’clock the deputy noticed a car parked off Dry Creek Road near Silverthorn Road and stopped to check it out. After getting out of his patrol car the deputy saw 22-year-old Quinton Henderson walking towards the suspicious vehicle, but the Henderson did not see him. When he announced his presence Henderson reportedly threw a gun into the ditch on the side of the road. It was apparently a loaded sawed-off shotgun. Henderson was arrested for the gun, and he had five outstanding warrants.
