Suspect Sought After 3rd Rite Aid Robbery Of 2019

An East Redding pharmacy has been robbed for the third time this year. At 8:45PM Thursday night two male suspects walked into the Rite Aid at Cypress and Churn Creek. One of them went to the pharmacy and jumped over the counter, forcing employees to give him prescription drugs. The other one went into the manager’s office and forced an employee to give him a bag of cash. The pair fled, but Redding Police responding to the call caught one of them. He’s a minor and was booked into Juvenile Hall for robbery. The other suspect got away in a champagne colored Honda sedan. He’s described as a black man around 30-years-old wearing a grey hoodie and grey sweatpants. A surveillance photo is on the KQMS Facebook Page. In February two robbers hit the same pharmacy, getting away with pharmaceuticals and cash. They were not caught. The robbers in last month’s heist of the same pharmacy also got away, but three suspects from Sacramento were caught by a Glenn County Sheriff’s Deputy on Interstate Five after apparently pulling an identical robbery an hour later at the Corning Rite-Aid.
