Homeless Man Charged With Felony Vandalism

A homeless man with a grudge is accused of vandalizing the Red Bluff Police and Fire Department. Saturday morning someone reported to police that the front window of the fire department was broken. Officers reviewed surveillance, which apparently showed that at 3AM, 51-year-old Gerard Rochrich walked up and threw a knife at a police and fire sign, then threw the knife at a large steel bell before using the knife to break the window. After reviewing the footage, officers were sent to the City Park on a report of a fight. They arrived to find Rochrich, easily recognizable in the same clothing he was wearing in the surveillance footage. He allegedly confessed and was booked for felony vandalism.
