A Redding Police Officer who was seriously injured in a fight on the Shasta College campus in April was finally able to return to work last month. On April 22nd, campus security tried to serve 29-year-old David Wuco with paperwork ordering him to stay off campus. Wuco had a violent history and had recently been released from prison. He left, but went back the next morning. Redding Police were called to assist with his removal. He fought them and injured 3 officers, who had to be treated at a hospital. Among them was Officer Eva Smith, who has been given a warm welcome as she finally was able to return to her duties as Shasta High School Resource Officer.
