Tons of Tri-Tip and Chicken will be barbequed to perfection this Sunday for the big Asphalt Cowboys community barbecue. They know how to do it just right because this will be the 67th time they’ve done it. The annual barbecue in Lake Redding Park is a major fundraiser for the yellow-shirted cowboys. They use the money for a variety of community needs. The event runs from 11AM to 6PM this Sunday. $9 gets a plate of Tri-Tip or Chicken along with cole slaw, garlic bread and the famous cowboys beans. Advance tickets are $8 and available from any Asphalt Cowboy or at asphaltcowboys.org. Diners can eat there or take it to go. There are reasons to stay, including live entertainment and a live auction from 1PM to 3PM of some great items including a Silverthorn Resort houseboat vacation.
