10-Million Dollars Awarded For Delta Fire Repairs

A year after the Delta Fire, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration has awarded more than 10-Million Dollars for repairs to Interstate 5 and other roads. The money will go to Cal-Trans, which will make the repairs. In September of last year, the Delta Fire burned more than 65,000 acres, destroying 20 structures, causing evacuations, threatening critical infrastructure, and damaged roads in the area, including the freeway.
