A high speed pursuit from Trinity County came into Redding on Highway 299 Tuesday morning. The chase started in Weaverville when the Honda CRX apparently went through a stopsign at a hundred miles an hour in front of the Trinity Area CHP Office. The chase continued at high speed with a CHP Air Operations airplane tracking it from above until it reached Buenaventura Boulevard in Redding. The driver abandoned the car and took off on foot, but he was quickly captured. The CHP says he’s a 32-year-old man from Yuma, Arizona.
