10 Arrested During Crime Sweep At Anderson Walmart

Anderson’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit conducted an undercover enforcement operation that resulted in 10 arrests. On Monday, the unit was at the Anderson Walmart to target retail theft and criminal activity. During this operation, 10 people were arrested. The charges included theft, possession of stolen property, possession of a deadly weapon, drug paraphernalia possession, illegal narcotic possession, being under the influence of a controlled substance, parole violation and active warrants. One person was found in possession of items from other stores. The Anderson Walmart apparently draws people from a wide area, as the arrestees were from Redding, Anderson, Shingletown, Magalia and Montague. The ages ranged from 27 to 66.
