A large reward is now available for tips about a Siskiyou County murder case that’s gone cold. The body of 31-year-old Spencer Richard Hodgson was found April 8th in a ravine off Yreka Walker Road near the Community of Klamath River northwest of Yreka. Hodgson was a resident of the area with previous ties to Santa Cruz. An autopsy confirmed the cause of death was gunshot wounds. Hodgson’s pickup truck was recovered elsewhere, along with his dog, which was still alive. A number of interviews have been done and search warrants served by detectives, but it’s hoped that a $50,000 reward will prompt someone to provide key details for a break in the case.
