A dead man has been found under suspicious circumstances on the side of the road a little east of Bella Vista. The body of the adult male was discovered at around 7 O’clock Monady morning in a large turnout off Highway 299 just east of Sugar Pine Camp Road. Shasta County Sheriff’s Detectives say the body had significant injuries, but no other information has been released about how he may have been killed, or a possible motive. The victim’s name will be released when he’s positively identified and his family is contacted. Anyone with information, or who may have seen anything suspicious in that area should call 245-6135.
