90K In Cash, Explosive Devices Found At Trinity County Marijuana Grow

Some giant pot plants, a huge stash, a lot of cash and some explosives were seized last week in the Hayfork area, according to the Trinity Journal. Two properties were raided on North Barker Creek Road last Thursday by State Fish and Wildlife Officers with help from Trinity County Deputies and Officers from the U.S. Forest Service and State Water Resources Control Board. Neither property had a county permit or state license for growing cannabis. On the first parcel 548 growing plants were removed, along with 175 pounds of processed bud. Nobody was arrested at that location. At the second property, almost a hundred plants were found that were at least ten feet tall. There was also 30 pounds of processed bud, 1,038 vials of concentrated cannabis oil and $90,000 cash. An assortment of explosive devices was also found and the Shasta County Bomb Squad was called in to take care of them. One person was detained at the site and charges are pending.
