Fire crews hit hard and fast to hold a grass fire to 42 acres on Millville Plains. The fire was reported about 3 O’clock Thursday afternoon and crews were initially reporting a rapid rate of spread. It’s located on the east side of Millville Plains Road near Sprig Way. A Cal-Fire incident commander reported forward progress stopped about 3:40PM. An aggressive attack utilized multiple engines, hand crews, and aircraft. That fire is fully contained.
