A large shipment of heroin was seized Friday in a bust on Interstate Five at Lake Shasta. Just before noon a car was stopped by Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies on the freeway just south of Bridge Bay Road. Thor the k-9 walked around the car sniffing the air and alerted deputies that drugs were inside. A bag on the backseat contained 5-point-79 pounds of heroin. 31-year-old Ramona Lopez of Phoenix, Arizona was booked into jail for possession of heroin for sale.
