Man Arrested After Investigation Into Large Collection Of Child Porn

A Shasta Lake man has been arrested after the discovery of his disturbing secret room, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. On Monday of last week detectives got word that 47-year-old Jeremy Saber had a large collection of child pornography at his home on Deer Creek Avenue. The next day a search warrant was served at the home. Inside a large outbuilding on the property, there was a small locked room. Detectives say it contained hundreds of images of young girls aged 9-to-15 or so in sexually explicit situations, as well as a number of adult and child sized mannequins dressed in wigs and makeup, and posed in various sexual acts. A search warrant was also served at Saber’s storage unit at Bryant Security Storage, where hundreds more sexually explicit images of young girls were reportedly found. Saber was arrested on Wednesday. While being questioned he allegedly admitted to possessing the child porn, as well as actually photographing some of the victims himself. He was booked into jail on 10 counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. Four of the victims have been identified, and the investigation continues. Anyone with information should call the major crimes unit at 245-6135.
