A man who beat a trucker after breaking into his truck has been sent to prison. On July 13th the semi-truck driver had stopped his rig at a truck stop in Corning. As he did a walk-around inspection of the tractor-trailer he noticed the cab rocking a little bit. When he opened the door, 26-year-old James Edward Rubio came lunging out at him. Rubio struck the trucker multiple times before running away. Corning Police found Rubio and chased him on foot, eventually tackling him and taking him into custody, as he resisted the whole time.
