An Anderson man has been arraigned for murder after running over a man on Hilltop Drive over the weekend. Redding Police say 49-year-old Jeffrey Allan Brown was drunk as he was driving northbound on Hilltop at 1:45AM Sunday morning and struck 67-year-old Donald Gene Kohls of McKinleyville in front of the Casino Club. Kohls was apparently in the street when he was hit. He was transported to Mercy Hospital and pronounced dead. Brown was arraigned Wednesday on one count of murder and two counts of DUI causing serious bodily injury. His bail is set at $750,000. He returns to court November 15th.
