A report of a robbery in Trinity County was mistaken, but it lead to several arrests.Saturday morning, Trinity County Sheriff’s Deputies and CHP Officers responded to a reported home invasion robbery in the Douglas City area. It turned out to be a false alarm, but the residents had seen some suspicious people who seemed to be casing the homes. A few weeks earlier, 2 armed people were seen in the same area and residents thought they were returning to rob them. Officers searched the area, found the suspect vehicle, and detained the sole occupant. A continued search led to the discovery and detention of three more suspects who were on foot near the scene. Authorities say that the suspects had burglarized a building and had also stolen growing marijuana from an outdoor garden. Four people were arrested for burglary, grand theft, conspiracy and drug charges. They’ve been identified as Joshua Nelson of Shasta Lake City, Duncan Device of Eureka, Kenosha Wilson of Redding, and Clyde Davis of Redding.
